Deer Hunting

You are on the right track when you choose Tradewater Outfitters for your hunt of a lifetime. Deer hunting is where it all started for us and we have several years in habitat and herd management practices under our belt . We insist on a 140” minimum green score and our hunters usually have an opportunity to get up close and personal to one of these bruisers. The approximately 2,500 acres we hunt are contiguous to our lodge.

Our hunts are packaged as 5-day trips and include a sixth night stay for extended travelers. Upon arrival at the camp, you can relax and unwind by taking advantage of the many amenities we offer. You will have an overview of the hunt and a safety and rules briefing. A typical hunting day begins a 4:30am with coffee and continental breakfast, and then it’s off on one of our electric “no noise” buggies to your hunting area. If you want to come to the lodge for lunch, we will have a predetermined pickup time; but if you wish to stay in the field we will provide a packed lunch.

Please consider your Kentucky hunting destination carefully, as the notoriety of deer hunting in Kentucky, especially in it’s number one harvest county“ Crittenden “which incidentally is where we are located, has become so popular, there are advertisements that may not be as they appear, chose someone with a good track record and well established credentials as an outfitter, it could mean the difference in success and disappointment.
